Visibility

How do I limit who can see my old Facebook posts?

Two ways: change the audience of one post with the audience selector next to its date, or change all older public posts to Friends at once with Limit past posts.

How to do it

Change one post

Go to your profile, find the post, click the audience selector next to the date and pick Public, Friends or Only me.

Change everything at once

Settings & privacy → Settings → “Your activity / Audience and visibility”, then “Limit past posts”.

Confirm

It changes every past post that was visible to more than your friends so that only your Friends can see it.

Worth knowing

Limit past posts only moves Public posts down to Friends — it can’t make them Only me in bulk, and it doesn’t undo what people already saw or saved.

Questions

Can I undo Limit past posts?

Not in bulk — there’s no “make everything public again” button; you’d change posts back one at a time.

Does it affect posts I’m tagged in?

No. It covers posts you shared. Posts other people made and tagged you in are controlled by their audience.
